Naturally Grown Lophophora Williamsii (Peyote), 4-

Among psychonauts, the hallucinogenic cactus Lophophora wiliamsii is better known as Peyote, the name given by the native Americans, who also called it "the father of time". These native American tribes used this sacred gift of nature in religious rituals. The high content of mescaline is what gives the cactus its psychedelic properties. Unfortunately, through massive harvests from inexperienced people, in nature the peyote has become rare and has even been listed as endangered species.

Effects

Around 15-30 minutes after ingestion, depending on dosage and individual tolerance, mescaline can cause nausea and vomiting. After about 60 to 90 minutes these effects dissipate and give way to a beautiful, colorful trip. The peak of the trip is reached around 2 hours after ingestion.

The Mescaline effect is more closely related to the effects of LSD than those of magic mushrooms. It is nearly as potent as LSD, but has a more emotional component and often leads to euphoria. The fear factor often described by users of LSD is less present in mescaline. Nevertheless, bad trips can still occur, so users must ensure they are in a healthy and strong physical condition.

The peak lasts for 3-6 hours, again strongly depending on dosage, tolerance and individual response. The overall experience, including afterglow, can last for a total of 8-16 hours.

One of the biggest differences between Mescaline and other psychedelic substances
Is that you can still fall asleep on it. Also, during the afterglow is not a big problem.

Usage

These Lophophora williamsii clusters are ready to use, but you can also continue growing them. The cacti should only be taken on an empty stomach. Otherwise, they could enhance the feelings of nausea and reduce the intake of mescaline.

Native tribes used to chew the cactus, but it must be said the peyote has a very bitter and soapy taste. Often this only worsens the nauseous feeling experienced by many westerners who try out this traditional method.

A more pleasant way is to make a tea out of it, as you can do with San Pedro (trichocereus pachanoi) or Peruvian Torch (trichocereus peruvianus): Cut the peyote into small pieces and put them into a large pot with boiling water. Add the juice of 2-3 lemons, which enhances mescaline absorption into the water. Let the pieces boil for 3 to 4 hours. When this is done, you can discard the used cacti and drink the tea. To improve the taste of the tea, it is recommended to improve its taste with sugar or honey.

There are several ways to drink the tea. Some find it easier to drink it all at once because later on when the first effects of nausea set in, they can no longer bring themselves to drink the remaining amount of tea. Some like to spread the dosage over a period of 30-60 minutes, others divide it into two parts, with the second half taken at once half an hour after the first. By spreading sips over a period of time you lower the risk of experiencing nausea, though when you do feel nauseous, you also risk it will last longer.

A mescaline dosage is calculated according to bodyweight, 1-2 mg/kg is considered a light dosage, 3-4 mg/kg corresponds to a medium dosage and 5+ mg/kg is a strong dosage. The dried peyote contains 1-2% mescaline, but fresh peyote cacti contain around 1,1% - 1,2%. This means 27 grams of peyote contain around 300 mg mescaline.

GROWING

Avoid cacti and succulent soil. It is better to mix potting soil, coarse sand and clay in equal parts. The Peyote has a taproot, therefore use a deep pot instead of common flower pot.
Do not place small and young plants in direct sunlight. Use indirect sunlight instead. The cacti can resist high to very low temperatures, though these changes in temperature will influence growth pattern. In winter, it requires no water at all, except whey you live in a region where temperatures never drop very low.

The first one I ordered was BAD... the shipping absolutely killed it. BUT, since ShayanaShop is SO awesome... the replaced it, absolutely FREE... I haven't had the heart to kill it. I transplanted it and it produces BEAUTIFUL pink flowers. I ordered another from here to keep the 1st one company... I haven't consumed them... It has been a rewarding experience to help grow these... You know the old Native American saying? "Take care of the Peyote and the Peyote will take care of you... "Thank you Shayana!

UPDATE: I haven't had this little guy for even a month yet and it is already producing seeds. I read everywhere peyote is slow growing. This is spectacular! I will be able to try growing my very own peyote from seed soon! I'm ecstatic!

Just got my little peyote. Shipping was very fast. I had some trouble with the jerk post office, someone opened the package, and my five free seeds were gone. The cactus was also askew, so I replanted it and hope it will be fine. The plant itself is adorable, and I look forward to watching it grow. Overall, impeccable service, fast communication, fast shipping, robust specimen. I'm recommending shayana shop to all my friends!

My cacti came broken and shriveled, almost dead. I contacted Joao and sent pictures. Without hesitation, they sent me another cacti free of charge. After all that trouble... When I got my new cactus, I didn't have the heart to cut it up. I replanted it. Now spring is here in Japan and the cactus started fruiting and flowering!!!!!! I'm sorry I can't post a crazy psychadelic experience here, but what I am posting is about excellent customer service, and superiority in product! Thank you shayana!

I have been propagating Lophophora Williamsii for over 20 years. These specimens are absolutely beautiful and will make fine seed stock.. Some are a bit vertical but other than that, they could have been grown in the Mexico/Southern rio-grand river area!

Very nice indeed!

Alex

It's such a cute plant! I repotted it and now I can't imagine ever cutting it off... Hmmm, seems I'll have to order one or two extra some time just for immediate consumption... Really, what a lovely little thing :-)
