Trichocereus peruvianus or Peruvian Torch, is used in religious ceremonies related to peyote ceremonies. The cactus contains alkaloids that are similar to peyote. Peruvian Torch is a close relative of the San Pedro cactus, Trichocereus pachanoi, but is considered somewhat more potent. It has a fast growth rate and an easy germination rate, making it perfect for beginners.
